Thu, Jul 14th 2011 at 12:00 am - 2:00 am

Sponsored by Duns Rotary Club, Hanah Hay and Emily Campbell-Whitton visited the Club before going to their week-long Rotary Youth Leadership Award [RYLA] Scheme.

Duns Rotary President Robert Lamont with 2 sponsored RYLA participants, Hanah and
Emily.

Each year Duns Rotary Club aims to sponsor one or two local young people on the annual Rotary Youth Leadership Award [RYLA] Scheme.

This year's sponsored participants are Hanah Hay and Emily Campbell-Whitton who visted the Club before going to the Ardnenoig Adventure Centre in Perthshire for a week for their RYLA course.  Members wished them well and Hanah and Emily promised to report back on their experiences on their return.

President of Duns Rotary, Robert Lamont, said 'the RYLA course will be tough for the girls but is designed to be fun and character building: No doubt we will hear, in the autumn, how they got on'.

March 2012

Two further students have been nominated by the Club for the 2012 RYLA course - more details on this in due course.
