Malvern Rotary Club supports many charities, some small, some large, and participates with other Rotary clubs when emergencies arise. The Club contributes to the international Rotary Foundation which, amongst other things, funds the Polio Plus project working to eradicate polio from the planet; there are now only three countries left for this task to be completed.

More than 25 initiatives and charities have been supported.  The largest donations were £17,000 for the tsunami which struck at New Year 2005 and £22,000 to organisations which suffered in July 2007 from the floods in Upton-upon-Severn, where club members also gave physical help.  Large donations have been donated to St Richards and Acorns hospices in these years.

The club gives prizes to young people at an annual competitions for poetry, and sponsors them for initiatives such as those set by Scouts & Guides and gap-year projects.

Other UK charities supported include Malvern Community Hospital, Childline, Macmillan Cancer Relief, and Air Ambulance

Overseas charities cover providing medical aid, skills training and water supply in undeveloped countries, and a charity Hope & Homes for Children which works to close orphanages by getting children returned to their families or adopted.  Other examples are Mercy Ships, Worcestershire Farmers Overseas Action Group,  and projects run by local primary schools supporting schools in Africa.

The club has purchased a number of Rotary Shelter Boxes and recruited volunteers to fill Rotary Aquaboxes which are sent to disaster areas to provide shelter, drinking water and other essentials.
