relates to Rotary's own charity to support humanitarian, educational and cultural projects worldwide

Rotary's own Charity; helps to finance local, national and international humanitarian, educational, and cultural programmes financed by donations and fundraising by Rotarians

The largest single project ever undertaken is PolioPlus; the fight to eliminate this disease in its entirity throughout the world. Now run in conjunction with the WHO and supported by governments and other major donor backing, this was a Rotary initiative and one in which Rotary involvement, financially and physically, plays a leading role. The total sum committed by Rotary since the idea was first born now exceeds $580 million (2005) and this club, like every other Rotary Club worldwide, plays its part.
