Community Service

We are very active in trying to improve the lives of people in the Ipswich area.  Our regular activities include acting as "spotters" at Alton Water to enable people with disabilities to go sailing as part of the Wolverstone Project Sailability.

With a number of members having involvement in eduation we were made aware of the shortage of male role models for children through family break-ups and there being fewer male teaching staff in primary schools.  In response to this members go to a local primary school and listen to pupils read, enhamcimg their educational experience.

Ad hoc projects such as house clearance; house decoration and shed building also utilise the many and varied talents of our members.
