Foundation Year Plan 2012-2013

I am pleased to tell fellow members that we not only continued to raise the profile of Foundation within the Club but also raised over £8,500 this year.

 

The Foundation Committee has a change of personnel next year. We see Ashley Weaver, Olwyn Payton and John Brookshaw move on and we welcome John Crowe, Martin Greenwood, Norman Hughes and Sarah Perris.

 

Our proposed plan for 2012/13 builds on the success of this year’s activities/projects.

 

We still need to achieve our Club target of $1000 for the Polio Plus Fund and also our Annual Programmes Fund target of $100 per head.

 

During 2012/13 we will be highlighting areas of Foundation by inviting Rotary Members within our District who have real life experiences of Foundations work to our Club.

 

With an ageing membership and increasing pressures on member’s time we need to continue to think smarter about how we raise money in the Future.

 

Our eBay account continues to provide good returns on minimal effort and this activity will be carried on during 2011/12. We will require member’s assistance with donations of items. Ashley Weaver will continue to be the prime contact for this project.

 

Other activities the Foundation Committee will be undertaking are

 

1.    Food Festival Car Park

2.    Sainsburys’ collection

3.    Santa’s Grotto at Nantwich Bookshop

4.    Gift Aid donations through the ‘Blue boxes’

5.    A Musical Evening event
