Summary of International activities for the Rotary Year 2012-13

Aim

The International Service Committee’s aim is to encourage , foster and promote the advancement of international understanding ,goodwill and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional people united in the ideal of service.

The Committee meets on the first Tuesday of the month immediately after the lunchtime meeting.

Programme for 2012/13

Foundation

  • As in previous years;

  • We will encourage members to ensure the commitment to donate a minimum of 100 US Dollars per member of the Club to Foundation is self financing.

  • We will maintain our support to GSE visits

  • We will seek a speaker for the Club from the next intake of Ambassadorial Scholars.

  • We will continue to support the final push to eradicate Polio worldwide.

International Community Support

  • Mawella School - Rotary Charities

  • Raise funds for Shelterbox –Aquabox

  • And other International Needs
