Community Service

Our work in the community

At the Rotary Club of Royal Leamington Spa we support the community in many different ways

Helping Hands

Supporting the Christian Mission has been one of our top priorities for many years, not only in donations but also our members, family and friends who helped to pack food parcels and sort clothing for the needy. The Rotary Club have agreed to support the ongoing programme called "Helping Hands", helping those in need

Rotary Blackpool Holidays

Every year the Rotary Club organises a trip to Blackpool for the elderly. The trip is partly sponsored by Rotary and our partner boarding houses in Blackpool. The cost to the travel is approximately £185 for the week, including board

Life Education Caravan in local schools

During 2017 we will pay for the Life Education Caravan to visit two or three schools in the Leamington area. The caravan teaches children about how their bodies work and creates drug awareness. The programme can be seen by clicking HERE

Annual Boat Trip for elderly residents on the River

The 2017 boat trip wwas planned in May but had to be cancelled as the weather was atrocious but it will be rescheduled for a later date. Local residents are collected from care homes and taken to Stratford for a trip on the river

A visit to Charlcote Park National Trust

We are very fortunate to have a long standing association with the National Trust and we will be taking a group of elderly residents to Charlecote in September 2017

Just a few of the ongoing projects we organise or support as a Rotary Club
