Chairman –Phil Niddrie

We lost three members during the year, sadly one passed away and two resigned due to ill health but inducted two new members.  We still have a healthy membership and let us hope that we will be able to recruit a few new members next year

Chairman – Andrew Wilkie

I have been in the club for only a few months but I have taken up a challenging job as Membership committee chairman.  To increase our membership, I think the following might be a good start.

Organise a parents evening for the Parents of Rotakids and Interact club members.

Possible Open day to invite local people to see all the great work Rotary does for their community

Pushing forward the public face of Rotary as I am pretty sure most people have come across the term Rotarian, but few actually know about the work that we do.

Prospective Members Kit outlining projects and work Rotary undertakes also format of club/meetings/social side include member testimonials highlighting what the club has done for them.

Bring a Friend/Guest/Speaker

Print Business cards to give to prospective members / guests etc.

Letters to existing and especially to new businesses in the local area, they get business networking, we get a prospective member.

Possibly include, with  press articles, a pitch for new members, if the readers are interested in the article they are interested in the work we do.

I need to gather some information and discuss some thoughts before I commit to a schedule.
