Community & Vocational
The main aim of our Community and Vocational group is to get involved with and support charitable youth and environmental projects to help make a difference to the people in our local as well as the wider community.
This year we are getting involved with a variety of projects including working with Avon Swifts Disabled Sports Club who will particiapte in the Rotary Disabled Sports Competition in Coventry in Novemmber 2016.
We have chosen a candidate to take part in RYLA - The Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) is a six day, five night residential programme for 40 young people aged between 16 and 18. It takes place at the Dean Field Study Centre in the Forest of Dean. It starts on 26 July 2016 and finishes with an exciting presentation event on 31 July.
We are also helping with giving a group of over 100 disadvantaged children from Bristol a wonderful day out in the country with the Kids Out charity at Cattle Country near Berkley, Gloucestershire.
We also partner Young Carers and help fund and supply volunteers for families to get together for a fun day on 2 July 2016.
We are always looking for a great community project to support. Let us know if you need some help.
