Rotary Club of Shipston-on-Stour

Since January 2008 our activities have been focused on the Rotary EcoBag which has proved very successful for the Rotary Club of Shipston on Stour and also increased our standing amongst the Community.

The project involved Shipston High School (see Youth Activities) and brought together many sections of the community including Town Council, District Councillors, Stour United Businesses, local businesses and many organisations.

The Rotary EcoBag was highly commended in the 2009 RIBI Environment Awards for " Design and marketing of a lined natural jute bag with Rotary advertising" a wonderful accolade for the Club

Under the Club's environment intitiative, the committee are now reviewing other environmental projects that will provide benefits to Shipston on Stour and the surrounding districts where the Club can again make an impact and provide leadership.

The Rotary Club of Shipston on Stour have always worked closely with the community and have been involved in initiatives aimed at supporting community cohesion and economic development. Through members involvement with various projects, the Club maintains a high and important profile within the community
