Organising and helping with Community Projects in Coventry


The Committee organises, helps out with, and manages several activities which include:


  • For the past few years, we have supported the Kid's Out Christmas Box collection and these boxes of Childrens toys are given to Coventry Haven. 
  • November 2022 we helped pack bags of dried food for Rise Against Hunger. 
  • November 2022 we had a collection of coats.
  • October 2022 we had a collection for the Hygiene Bank
  • April 2022 we delivered Easter Parcels 
  • Every year we send disadvantaged and special children to a fun day out with the Kid's Out Charity to Drayton Manor Park. 
  • We regulary help with collects of Food donations for Coventry Foodbank.
  • Planting trees at Longford Park in Coventry from the Free Trees for Schools and Community Project run by the Woodland Trust.
  • Some of our club members help in local schools, helping children to read and improve numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Sponsoring and supporting Young Carers to holidays away, days out, materials for activities, and giving them the opportunities to meet other Young Carers and socialize with their peers away from the home. 
  • De-Cluttering - Each year we give our members the opportunity to bring unwanted possessions to the club and we donate these to a local charity. 
  • Rotary Stars Citizen Ship Award - Local children who have shown good citizenship for helping others in their school receive a certificate and badge. 
  • Supporting the Christmas Toy Box Appeal for children in Refuges
  • Taking the Rotary Santa Sleigh out round the suburbs of Coventry with our fellow Rotary Clubs in Coventry and our supporters from various community groups.

Sherbourne Fields Alloment Project

more Working alongside students and staff to reclaim an overgrown area so that it can be accessed by Students who use wheelchairs. The plan is to put in a path and raised beds together with a border.

Free Trees for Schools and Communities Planting March 2021

Food Bank Collection

more For the last few years, we have supported the Coventry Foodbank by helping collect the donations of food they receive from kind citizens of Coventry at the Tesco Superstores in Coventry.

Rotary Santa Sleigh

more The five Rotary Clubs of Coventry organise a Santa Sleigh to visit the streets of Coventry in December with help from many community organisations, schools, companies and charity groups in the city.

Rise Against Hunger Food Packing

more An amazing project bringing Rotarians and non Rotarians together to help feed school children in Africa.

Kids Out

more Every year we take a group of 30 primary aged children to Drayton Manor Park who would not necessary have the opportunity to experience a fun filled day of rides and to see the animals in the zoo. (1 page below this)

Canley Community Centre

more Jubilee Club Members worked along side volunteers from Warwick University and from the Canley area to transform the outside of the building.

Exhall Grange Gardening Day 2017

more We worked with Pupils, Parents and Staff to help revamp the school's outdoor area.
