.
The aim of this Committee is to evaluate local community need and deliver well managed projects/activities which contribute to meeting those needs and benefitting the community as well as enhancing the Club's and hence Rotary's image and profile. The Committee is currently responsible for a number of on-going community projects including a "memory" cafe, carers' lunches and supporting the construction and use of a Seine boat. In addition we organise fund-raising events to support local and international charitable activities.
Recent activities have included:
- Let's build a Seine boat .....
- the "Picnic in the Marquee" which raised over £1200 for Help for Heroes and the Alice Cross Day Centre in Teignmouth
- Small Charities Day which, despite the inclement weather, raised over £350 towards a Shelterbox
- Presentation to Children's Hospice South West
