Presentation To Keswick Judo Club

Keswick judo club was delighted to receive a much needed donation from Keswick Rotary Club on Tuesday evening to help replace its worn out judo mats. Continued membership of the British Judo Association, which is essential for the club, requires the club to have modern, safe equipment which the money will help to purchase. President Michael Sing said the Rotary Club was pleased to be able to support the Judo club members and wished them every success in the future.
The club, which started less than a year ago, already has 40 members, mainly juniors, and runs two training sessions per week at the Rawnsley Centre, Keswick.
Many of the club's members have already been awarded grades from the British Judo Association which requires them to demonstrate a wide range of throws, holds and contest techniques.
Anyone interested in starting judo should contact Tony Locke on 07758 320401.
