Sports activities undertaken by the Club and members

Sports

We participate in several sports.

Golf

Our main event is our AmAm competition held at the beginning of each July at Stranraer Golf Club. This event which raised £4600 in 2011, has now raised over £20,000 for charity.

We also enter 2 teams in our Rotary District competition. This involves matches on a knock out basis aganst other Rotary Clubs from the west of Scotland.

Matches are also arranged from time to time with neighbouring Clubs from Girvan and Newton Stewart.

Curling

We participate in our District curling on the same basis as golf - see above.

Bowls

We have an annual evening involving our local Round Table and 41 Club as well as matches indoor and outdoors with our friends from Newton Stewart Rotary Club.
