WAYS TO RAISE FUNDS FOR OUR E-CLUB PROJECTS.

Here's my list of funding agences. Please send me any you have, and I'll consolidate them. WE'LL DISCUSS THEM AT SATURDAY'S MTG, 6PM, 14TH MAY.

Commonwealthfoundation.com   The Foundation's responsive grants enable people from developing Commonwealth countries to participate in activities involving international or intercultural exchange, such as: short training courses, workshops, seminars, conferences.    Strengthen civil society capacity in the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals, specifically those related to HIV and AIDS, health, education and gender;

Theworkcontiues.org     The Diana Princess of Wales Memorial Fund has always worked to support the most disadvantaged people in the UK and overseas.     The Palliative Care Initiative, under which the Fund is committed to spending up to £10 million over five years to promote the scale-up of palliative care in Ethiopia, Malawi, Kenya, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe, and its integration into their governments' health policies.

 Dfid.gov.org   The DFID Community Linking Programme is designed to create greater development awareness by supporting links between communities in the United Kingdom and communities in developing countries.  DFID currently supports two funds for those wishing to volunteer to work in developing countries, the Global Volunteering Scheme.  Commonwealth Scholarships and Fellowships help citizens from one Commonwealth country pursue further education in another Commonwealth country.   http://www.dfid.gov.uk/Working-with-DFID/Funding-Schemes/Funding-for-international-students-wishing-to-study-in-the-UK/CSFA/  The Development Awareness Fund Mini Grant Scheme awards grants of up to £10,000 to projects designed to support awareness of development-related issues.

DFID's Development Awareness Fund Mini Grants Scheme is aimed at organisations or networks with an interest in development education work in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales who want to undertake 1-3 year projects which seek to raise awareness and understanding of international development issues; of our global interdependence; of the need for international development; and of the progress that has been made and that is possible. DFID's contribution to a project will be a minimum grant of £1,000 and a maximum grant of £10,000 per year.

Allenlane.org    It makes grants to voluntary not-for-profit organisations (which need not be registered charities, provided the work carried out is charitable)

Acf.org.uk    The Association of Charitable Foundations is primarily an information and support organisation for grant-making trusts and foundations in the UK

Baringfoundation.org.uk    The Joint International Development programme deadline has passed and will be opening again in 2010.

Sirhalleystewart.org   Applications are welcomed for research, feasibility, pilot studies or development projects that are likely to improve the conditions of a particular group of people.  Projects which aim to improve the quality of life of the elderly suffering from physical or psychological disorders. The prevention of disease and disability in children. The prevention, diagnosis and treatment of tropical infectious and parasitic diseases.  Innovative medical projects caring for the needs of disadvantaged groups

 Chevening.com/     The Chevening programme provides around 1,000 new scholarships each year for postgraduate studies or research at UK Institutions of Higher Education. In addition to that we provide over 200 Fellowship places.

 wcmt.org.uk/   Each year the Trust aims to award 100 Travelling Fellowships to British citizens. Each Fellow receives a grant to cover return and internal travel, daily living and travel insurance within the countries visited.
