Stroke Aware Day at Fife Show

The committee which looks after the many activities that we carry out each year as a service to our local community.

Examples include:

  • A Winter Treat for elderly and disabled
  • A Stroke Awareness Day with Heart Start
  • A Charity Christmas card Sale
  • 'Kids Out' for some children with learning difficulties
  • Christmas lunch for some children who care for a relative on an everyday basis

Winter Treat 2013

more An afternoon of Tea and Entertainment by Billy Anderson, for the elderly and infirm in the BB Hall. Thanks to taxi companies and Rotarians who helped with transport and also Madras pupils and Rotaract who helped with tea and bingo called by Ian Johnston.

Chariots of Fire 2014

more Charity run with almost 600 runners on the West Sands in aid of the Association for International Cancer Research (AICR), St Andrews. This has been accepted as a Homecoming Scotland Event. Rotary Club of St Andrews members helped with the organisation.

more In partnership with Heart Start the Rotary Club of St Andrews will take blood pressures and demonstrate resuscitation to members of the public.

more 23 organisations were selling Christmas cards which raised over £6000 for their charities. Rotaract helpers served coffee and mince pies

more At Cairnie Visitor Centre, Cupar with the Fire Service, Police Service and Coast Guard Service showng the kids their vehicles.

more Xmas Lunch for young carers donated by Scores Hotel. Snow depleated numbers to 14 youngsters but did not spoil the fun they all had with balloons and scrummy food
