The Rotary Foundation is Rotary's own charity. It is a not-for-profit corporation that supports the work of Rotary International to achieve world understanding and peace through international humanitarian, educational, and cultural exchange programs.

It is supported solely by voluntary contributions from Rotarians and friends of the Foundation who share its vision of a better world.

The Foundation's Humanitarian Programs provide funds for approved  Rotary club and district projects to improve the quality of life, provide health care, clean water, food, education, and other essential needs. Most of this activity is primarily in the developing world.

One of the major Humanitarian Programs is PolioPlus, which seeks to eradicate the poliovirus worldwide. Thanks to Rotary and its partners, the number of polio cases has been slashed by more than 99 percent in 25 years, preventing five million instances of childhood paralysis and 250,000 deaths. But the polio cases represented by that final 1 percent will be the most difficult and expensive to prevent for a variety of reasons. In 2017 there have been single figure cases of polio limited to Pakistn and Afganistan.

Rotary is working hard to END POLIO NOW with the help of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Please help....any contribution helps to eradicate this disease from our planet.
