The Brief for the Youth and Community Committee


Our committee is responsible for planning and co-ordinating our youth and community activities.

For Youth, our role is to encourage involvement by young people in Rotary or other volunteering activities that helps them to develop. We are responsible for maintaining and developing links with local schools and colleges. Our aims this year are to establish Young Chef, Young Writer and Young Photographer Competitions. In addition, over the next 12 months, we are seeking to establish a Rotakids Club with a local primary school and a Rotaract Club, run on similar lines to Rotary, for those aged 18 to 30.

For the Community, our role is to seek out and support service projects that reach into our community here in Malvern or, where appropriate, nationwide. We aim to make a difference, either through our own physical support and action, or financially.
