Matlock Rotary Social Activities
Being a member of Matlock Rotary is not all about fundraising and business meetings. Matlock has an active programme of social events, involving members their friends and partners.
Planned events include a trip to the races at Southwell in May.
When there are five Monday's in a month we organise an evening with friends and partners. Events have included Christmas Carols, wine tastings, race nights, casino nights, quiz nights, and meals out to local restaurants all of which are very well attended.
Trips to the theatre are also popular with members. Recent trips have been to performances of "Meat and Two Veg" "When we are Married" and "What's for pudding" by High Tor Players and "An Inspector Calls", by the Chatsworth Players at Chatsworth House featuring in the leading roll one of our own members Simon Brister, the Matlock Musical Theatre performing "Little Shop of Horrors" at the The Pavillion at Matlock Bath. Most are preceded by a meal out in a local restaurant.
In recent years we have celebrated the new year with a live band and dinner dace at the Matlock Golf Club.
Members regularly partipate in the District Quiz nights and Ten-pin Bowling Competitions.
Below are some of our recent social activities.
