Rotary carries out the following programmes under the Foundation banner:
Sponsoring Ambassadorial and Peace Scholars, Group Study Exchange, Polio Plus, and Thanks for Life. Rotary has supported the WHO Polio Eradication programme, raising millions of dollars under the banner of PolioPlus and Thanks for Life
The Rotary Foundation works by taking annual donations made by individuals, clubs and Districts and investing these monies for 3 years. After 3 years 50% is returned to the District through the District Designated Fund and 50% to the World Fund, supporting humanitarian programmes worldwide
The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International is a not-for-profit corporation that promotes world understanding through international humanitarian service programs and educational and cultural exchanges. It is supported solely by voluntary contributions from Rotarians and others who share its vision of a better world.
