.

How refreshing to listen to the exciting adventures of Jennifer Agnew, our guest speaker at lunch today.

Jennifer is a Captain in the Royal Logistics Corps and exuded the confidence and enthusiasm which typifies the men and women of our armed services.

Jennifer was determined that the Army was going to be her career from the age of 15. She was already a member of the Army Cadet Corps and enjoyed outdoor activities including rock climbing and adventure training.

Her ambition was fulfilled in 2003 when she passed out as a commissioned officer and, at the age of 23, found herself in command of a troop of 30 soldiers.

Members were treated to an entertaining and enthralling account of Jennifer’s life in the Army, and she also told us of her future ambition to become a barrister. In fact she will shortly complete her legal training and hopes to transfer to the Army Legal Service in September this year.

We wish her well for the future and fully expect her to be highly successful in her new career.
