The Rotary Foundation:
The Rotary Foundation is the charitable trust fund of Rotary International, which was set up to achieve world understanding and peace through international humanitarian and educational programmes. Programmes undertaken by the Foundation include the worldwide eradication of polio, sponsoring international group study exchange visits, providing scholarships that focus on the obstacles that impede international co-operation and peace (eg, war, famine, poverty and disease), and providing matching grants to Rotary Clubs and Districts to undertake more locally based humanitarian programmes.

What is The Rotary Foundation - still not clear?
It is Rotary’s own CHARITY, relying solely on Rotarians’ financial donations: from individuals or Clubs. No one else raises any money for it.
It has always had only one aim: TO DO GOOD IN THE WORLD.
It is one of the largest private charities in the world. Remarkably, it is the only major world charity which actually returns half of what is given, directly, via Rotary Clubs such as Abingdon Rotary Club, to those who need financial or humanitarian help!
