Young Writer
Jade Joll, a member of the winning Mount Street School Youth Speaks team is our local winner of the RIBI Young Writer competition.
Jade’s task was to write prose or poetry based on the theme of “Olympic Dreams” or “Olympic Spirit” in no more than 400 words if she chose poetry or 800 for prose. She was then judged on:

Ability to complete work in the required number of words

Conformity to the theme
Her entry now goes on to the district final which concludes at the end of February. If she wins this next round, Jade will be entered into the national final at the end of March.
