Rotary Foundation

One of the world's largest charities

As a club we support many deserving causes and charities, but Rotary also has its own charity.

Rotary Foundation changes lives both at home and around the world, tapping into a global network of Rotarians who invest their time, money, and expertise into projects that include eradicating polio and promoting peace.

Foundation grants empower Rotarians to bring sustainable solutions to poverty, illiteracy, and malnutrition.

PolioPlus - our commitment to eradicate polio

The world is seeing historic progress, with just two countries in 2015 – Afghanistan and Pakistan – reporting a single strain of the wild virus.   "We are closer than ever to achieving a polio-free world," says Michael K. McGovern, chair of Rotary’s International PolioPlus Committee.

Peace and Conflict Resolution

Rotary Peace Centres give future world and community leaders the opportunity to pursue a master's degree or professional development certificate in international studies, peace studies, conflict resolution, or a related field.   They advance research, teaching, field work, dialogue, and knowledge on issues of peace, conflict prevention and resolution, and world understanding.

Rotary Grants

District grants fund smaller, short-term activities.   Each Rotary district chooses its own projects.

Global grants support large international activities that have sustainable, measurable outcomes in one or more of our areas of focus.

Packaged grants are designed by Rotary with strategic partners.   They fund activities that are similar to those for global grants, but the work of designing the activity's general framework has already been done.
