Railwalk Sunday - Epping and Ongar Railway

Sun, Sep 16th 2012 at 10:45 am - 3:00 pm

A guided walk in Epping forest with a steam train ride thrown in.

Railwalk Sunday is being organised by the Epping and Ongar Railway for whom our speaker of 30th August works. It is a celebration of exploring the local countryside and the many paths and bridleways that surround the local area. Guided walks will be occurring with knowledgable local guides combining history and nature. It is an excellent opportunity to see the Autumnal colours and wildlife of Epping Forest. There will be stalls at North Weald station from local interest groups. Steam trains will be running from Ongar to North Weald, a diesel shuttle service to Coopersale from North Weald and a heritage bus service from Ongar to Epping tube station.
