Kids Out

Wed, Jun 20th 2012 at 12:00 am - 2:00 am

One hundred kids have a great day in the sunshine.

Kids Out is a joint effort between the local Rotary Clubs to provide a day in the park for some very special children.  Members of Rotary worked to prepare the site  in Pittencrief Park and to run events like pony rides.  Here Sophie enjoys her first ever pony ride.

The participating clubs were, of course ourselves, West Fife, Inverkeithing and Dalgety Bay, and Cowdenbeath.

One hundred and two children attended on the day, coming from 9 schools and organisations.

Entertainment was provided by two magicians and a puppeteer, along side a ballon scuptor, a bouncy castle, ball pit and various out door games.

Also in attendance were Fife Fire and Rescue.  The Police, who sent along sniffer dogs.  Friends of Jack Wardell brought along Pat Dogs.  Not forgetting the ever popular pony rides.

The children enjoyed a picnic lunch followed by ice cream.

Rotarians work throughout the year to raise funds to help the community.
