Kids Out - Annual Trip for special needs children
Kids Out Day Every year we take a party of physically or mentally disadvantaged children, accompanied by their helpers,on an trip to such places as Heads of Ayr Farm Park or the Chocolate Factory at Twynholm and the Cream o' Galloway farm park at Gatehouse of Fleet.
These trips have been enjoyed by children, their helpers and Rotarians for many years. Trips in recent years:
2011 - 12 children and 7 helpers from Stranraer Academy Learning Centre enjoyed their visit to Cream O' Galloway farm park at Gatehouse of Fleet.
2012 - 21 of the children from Park and Belmont Children's Learning Centres in Stranraer were taken to the Chocolate Factory at Twynholm. They had a great time as shown in the photo gallery.
2013 - 11 children and 6 helpers from Stranraer Academy Learning Centre enjoyed their trip to the Heads of Ayr Farm Park.
2014 - 36 children and helpers from Park Children's Centre and Belmont Primary School had a great day at Heads of Ayr Farm Park.
2015 - 13 children and 7 helpers from Stranraer Academy Special Needs/Learning Centre were treated to a day out at Heads of Ayr Farm Park. The sun failed to turn up but at least it did not rain so the kids were able to enjoy the outside attractions.
2016 - Children and helpers from the Park Learning Centre enjoyed their day out at the Chocolate Factory.
