John Borrill, of Redmire has been installed as the Club President for the year commencing 1st July at a dinner held at the Queen’s Head inn, Finghall.

John Borrill has lived in Redmire for 14 years, and has been installed as the Club President for the year commencing 1st July at a dinner held at the Queen’s Head inn, Finghall on 22nd June.  The Dinner was attended by Rotarians and guests from Clubs in Ripon, Northallerton, Upper Eden, Richmond, Newton Aycliffe, Harrogate, Knaresborough and District Governor Elect Keith Davison of Birstall Luddites Rotary Club.

John is a retired Chemical Engineer,  he and his wife Dorothy have 3 children (in Newcastle, Sweden and Australia) and 7 grandchildren .  John has carried responsibility for Community Issues in the Rotary Club for several years, dealing with a range of projects including Bursary grants for schools, respite care for carers and Best kept Village competition.
