Irene Hogg volunteers her personal time over a 7 day basis (sometimes over 12 hours per day at weekends) successfully fundraising over 1.2 million pounds in order to kick start the project that delivered the wonderful, newly built, Loanhead Community Learning Centre Kabin; delivering caf, soft play, community cinema, charity shop, laundry plus numerous services and activities to people of all ages and abilities plus home to the Action Group and Carr-Gomm. Irene volunteers during evenings and weekends to ensure the smooth running of the LCLC Kabin, whether in attending meetings or being hands on. Versatile and multi-tasking Irene can turn her hand to anything or anywhere where it is needed from serving in the caf, reception work, moving furniture, cleaning, answering the phone and caring for clients to volunteering her time on the LCLC board as Company Secretary. Irene is a powerhouse of energy and drive and without her input, the people of Loanhead and the surrounding communities would not have the flagship enterprise of the LCLC Kabin with all the activities and services that it delivers.
