Andrew Gillies is made a Paul Harris Fellow

Citation as introduced by President Alan Farquharson: Andrew has again provided 2 years worth of excellent speakers.  This he has done in a quiet professional and efficient style. The excellence of the programme is a vital aspect of holding members interest and promoting fellowship.
Andrew has been the speakers convenor several times in the past. In addition, when on the community team, he with George Beattie, Ian Borland and Brian Merrett established and managed the first victim support unit in Fife. This unit is now supported directly from Government Funds, but without the initiative of Andrew and others this would never have got off the ground.

He has also been Sports Convenor over several years promoting friendly competition and fellowship.

It is his many years as Fundraising Conveyor that Andrew made a most significant contribution to Rotary recognition and reward. Andrew organised free beer from suppliers and supplied the resouces of his company to transport materials to make the Rotary Club of West Fife beer festival a major event on the Dunfermline calendar. At its peak the beer festival hosted 600 happy revellers.

At the same time Andrew led the assault course event, also over several years. Again lorries, staff and materials were provided by Andrew's company and transported to and from the Army Barracks in Edinburgh . In his best year Andrew's team raised
