A Rotary Pilgrimage!
Rotarian Paul Forsey recounts his visit to the Rotary International District 1170 Conference in March 2012, which was held at Somerset County Cricket Ground .
A ROTARY PILGRIMAGE!
Fortunately the first Saturday in March dawned dry and fine, as our President Mike in appropriately his Ford Focus, accompanied by our Vice Presidents, Tony and Paul, made the pilgrimage to Somerset Country Cricket Ground. This was not to see a match (far too early in the season!), but to attend the Rotary District 1170 Conference.
The journey went smoothly, but on arrival the right car park and venue could not be found! This may be considered typically Rotarian! However, this was soon resolved and a welcoming cup of coffee enjoyed before the meeting.
