Rotary takes part in sucessful QI day at WHA

Luckily Rotary had an inside stand at this highly successful event when youngsters from both WHA and all its feeder schools had the opportunity to see representatives from over 80 businesses and find out what they did.

As part of the Queensberry Initiative's drive to ensure pupils are prepared for work and have a good knowledge of what types of jobs are available Rotary had a small stand showing our work and allowing us to explain aspects of our local and world wide activities. This includes both having a representative on the QI board and the WHA PTA.

Sadly it was more than a little wet and the outside stands suffered. What connections there are between the photo of a ploughed playing field and a AMD digger we will leave to Mr B Graham. Well that is Trevor's story and he is sticking to it just like bankers stick to their bonuses.

Thanks to Derek for all his work on Rotary's behalf with QI and to the QI staff for making it such a good day with lots of useful adult networking achieved as well. Some potentially very interesting speakers were at this event.
