MIKE Daniels was installed as the new president of Bungay Rotary Club at the annual handover evening at the Fisher Theatre on Tuesday.

Outgoing president Richard Cundy handed over the badge of office after thanking club officers and members for their support during his year, which he felt had been successful and enjoyable.

For local businessman Mr Daniels it is his second term as president, having previously held the post in 2001-02. Having run his own driving school for

28 years he is now concentrating on his new trailer hire and new and used trailer sales business, DanHire Trailers.

He praised Mr Cundy for his year of office, and said he looked forward to a relaxed year in which the fellowship of Rotary would be the key.

Before handing over the badge, Mr Cundy presented two cheques, the result of the proceeds from his fundraising.
