Our Mission

Chairman: Rtn. John Higgins

Effective communication continues to be a key element in Club policy in ensuring that the local, and wider, community is made aware of the aims and activities of the Club.

During the next year we shall continue to promote the Club by:

Ensuring that Club events and projects get good coverage in the various local newspapers.

Producing the bi-monthly newsletter, Crosstalk, for Club members, the Family of Rotary and a wider audience via the website.

Streamlining the design of the display boards/laptop programme so that they give an instant picture of the activities of the Club when used at Club functions.

Making use of publicity resources, e.g. banners, produced by District, RIBI and RI.

Further developing and keeping up-to-date the Club website.

Publicising activities in a wide range of local media such as the town newsletter, church magazines, etc., whenever possible.

2011—2012

Our Achievements

Chairman: Rtn. John Higgins

This year we have continued to promote the club in the following ways:-

There has been good press coverage for projects and events across all the local papers. Some items have drawn attention to international projects like End Polio Now.

The newsletter, Crosstalk, continues to be published every two months for club members, Inner Wheel, the Family of Rotary and a wider audience via the website.

A number of items have been accepted for publication in the district newsletter.

The display boards have been kept up to date and used for Rotary events such as Sandbach Today, Lions Youth Brass concert, bag packing at the Co-op, Swimathon, etc. The pull-up banner has also been used at these events

The club website which has received very positive comments from district officers.

Income is still being generated by the DVD “Sandbach: then and now” allowing more charitable causes to be supported
