REPORT - All the talks have been received by an interested audience and have stimulated much discussion among the 170 plus young people involved.

The debate on Monday was smoothly run by the Rotary Club of South Cambridge in the Hills Road College science lecture room, with refreshments kindly provided by the college. The three motions were hotly fought by the six colleges attending - Hills Road Sixth Form College, Netherhall Sixth Form College, Comberton Village College, Impington Village College, Stephen Perse Sixth Form College and Long Road Sixth Form College. The three emminent judges - Ana Guillen, Dr Britt Baillie-Warren and Jen Little - found it very difficult to choose the winning team. The winning certificates were awarded to the team from Comberton - Molly, Maria and Patrick. Our thanks go to all those who took part, their teachers and supporters, for all their hard work and enthusiasm.

We look forward to organising a follow up event in 2013.

Examples of the great feedback we have had after the events :

'I just wanted to say a big 'Thank you!' to your Rotary Club for organising Ana's visit yesterday.  Many of the students who attended found it a really inspiring experience and there was a definite buzz of discussion about the college in the afternoon.  Several colleagues have already mentioned how students brought their interest into the class and that they ended up talking through some of the issues and ideas during sessions later in the day.
Please could you extend my thanks to Ana and any others involved?
We would be very glad to host any similarly inspiring speakers in the future.
Kind regards,
Michelle (Netherhall)'

'Thank you so much for allowing me to come yesterday afternoon. The students were brilliant and I thought Ana's talk was inspirational. She certainly has a way with young people. Please pass on my best wishes to all concerned. Yours in Rotary Pat Webb (keen to start Peace jam in her area near Diss)'
