A TRIUMPH FOR ROTARY.

Over the year Malvern Rotary Club has given its support to the international Polio Plus campaign.

In 1985 Rotary International, the body that heads the Rotary movement across the World, launched the drive to eradicate polio globally. At that time the disease was endemic in 125 countries with 350,000 new cases a year.

This led to the engagement of the World Health Organisation, UNICEF, the  Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and governments. Rotary itself has raised over US $1billion towards the costly action with many volunteer man hours in first -hand activity.
