The 35th Annual Dinnington Cross Country Horse Ride will take place on Bank Holiday Sunday, 30th August 2015.  The ride will be about 11 miles across picturesque farm and parkland with very little road work, starting from Dinning ton, TA17 8SX, near Ilminster between 9.00 and 11.00am.  There will also be a shorter 5 mile option.

The entry fee is £14 and no unaccompanied children under 14 will be permitted to take part.  All monies raised will again go to the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance with a small percentage to the upkeep of local churches over whose parishes we cross.

Entry Fee:£14 for all ages, which includes your course number and first Aid Cover.

Rosettes will be awarded on returning to the field and return of the course number.

 

Rules and Conditions o fEntry

 

1            All riders must obtain a number before starting on the course.

 

2            Hard hats and suitable footwear must be worn whilst riding.

 

3            All children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

 

4            Good riding manners are requested at all times.Please be cautious when overtaking other riders and please ride at a safe pace.It is not a race.

 

5            If you drop out for any reason, please notify a marshal.

 

6            All riders must take full responsibility for any veterinary costs incurred by them.

 

7            All riders must ensure that they have up to date public liability insurance.

 

8            All dogs must be kept on leads.

 

The organisers of this ride have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present.  For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all officials. So far as permitted by law, neither the landowners nor the organisers will be liable to any person whosoever whilst upon, entering or leaving the event,nor for any loss, damage, injury or accident to any persons or property or for items lost or stolen. A full Risk Assessment has been completed.
