INTRODUCTION

After a full and frank discussion which included whether we thought the existing projects were value for money we agreed the following programme.

(1) To fund one RYLA Place boy or girl depending on the best candidate to be chosen by  a Rotarian selection panel. With the option of a second candidate if no worthwhile alternative  project can be developed.

It was also agreed to ask District for a list of all past RYLA candidates  to try to establish how many went on to act as leaders within their community. Bill Hazel to contact District.

(2) Continue with the School Quiz. Bill Hazel agreed to front this and act as Quiz Master with support from Martin.

(3) Young Musician.  Agreed to fund the prizes for this but we would check the criteria for progress to district and  confirm that the candidate for the Rotary Prizes meet these criteria. Bill Hutton in charge of that.

(4) Young  Photographer.  There is no District convener for this but we agreed to enquire if the local photographic club wants to run a young person
