Rotary helps Lambourn First Responders

The Rotary Club of Hungerford has been able to help Lambourn Community First Responders (CFR) to buy an additional new medical kit including oxygen and defibrillator equipment.

Vice President, Annabel King, and Rtn Dr. Barry Kempton, handing a cheque for £500 to Sarah Mackay, Lambourn CFR Co-ordinator.

The Lambourn Community Responders are local volunteers who respond to emergency situations on behalf of the Ambulance Service to offer immediate first aid and life support before the arrival of an Ambulance resource.  The type of emergency may include unconsciousness due to an injury or medical problem, chest pain, and breathing difficulties, either in the home or public/work place.
