7:00pm Dinner - Drew Cochrane

A talk entitled - "From The Editor's Chair".


This evening, we welcomed Drew Cochrane, the Editor of the Largs and Millport Weekly News.  Becoming the county's youngest editor at the age of 22, Drew has held the position for the past 38 years, making him also the longest serving editor at the same newspaper.  His experiences over this period made for a lively and very entertaining anecdotal talk.  Once the laughter had died down, we thanked Drew in the traditional fashion for taking the time to visit us and give us an evening to remember.
