Technology Tournament

A great way to develop your team working skills whilst solving a technological challenge

Each year the Club joins with 4 other clubs in the area to host a Technology Tournament, held at Catterick Garrison.

The Tournament brings together teams of 4 pupils from schools across the area at three age groups.

All teams are set a challenge to design and build a working model to solve a technical challenge.  The pictures on this page are of the 2019 event when the model was to develop a lighthouse complete with a flashing light.

We are pleased to be hosted for this event in one of the buildings used by the Army's REME Regiment, who also assist in running the event. The setting allows the students to have a look round some of the heavy vehicles used by the Army and maintained by REME, and gain an insight in to one of the many careers that budding engineers might pursue after leaving school.
