On Friday October 5th 2012 the Denbigh Foodbank was officially opened by the Mayor of Denbigh, Councillor Raymond Bartley. The chairman of the Denbigh Foodbank, Rev. Wayne Roberts said a few words of welcome and he was followed by Lowri whose idea it was to establish a foodbank in the town.
Denbigh is one of twenty-three Foodbanks in Wales and is the third in north Wales following Mold and Wrexham. Caernarfon will be officially opened in a few weeks time.
Individuals, groups, societies and chapels and churches are all supporting the foodbank with weekly collections of non-perishable foods.
