International Projects

The International Committee of the Rotary Club of Cheltenham Cleeve Vale

Our Rotary Club supports a number of humanitarian aid projects under the general headings of:

  • Education and Literacy
  • Health and Disease Prevention
  • Water Sanitation
  • Economic and Community Development

 Within these projects and among others we currently support:

 Shelterbox (for use in natural disasters)

 Raphael Centre, Grahamstown, South Africa, helping HIV/AIDS sufferers

 Sambel Kunda Village Schools, The Gambia

 Village Water, Zambia

 Guildford Eye Project, Calcutta

 Mary's Meals (several African countries)

 Project Harar, Ethiopia (treatment for facial disabilities)

 Hope and Homes for Children in the Balkans and Africa

 The Kambia Appeal, hospitals in Sierra Leone

  Find Your Feet (supporting poor rural families in India, Malawi, Zimbabwe &      

  Nepal)

  Against Malaria Foundation (providing anti-mosquito nets in Africa)

  Ndi Moyo Palliative Care Centre, Malawi

  Chernobyl Children
