Rodger Manson Gourock from 1950's

Thu, Feb 14th 2008 at 12:00 am - 2:00 am

Roger Manson returned to Gourock Rotary after a long absence-Two weeks! A welcome return. Rodger stood in at short notice and gave us a walk, not down memory lane , but Kempock Street, Bath Street and Shore Street. It is only when someone like Rodger remindes you that you remember the way Gourock was all those years ago. Gourock was once a thriving commercial community with all the shops that a community required to be successful in the 50's and 60's. Unfortunately Gourock did not move with the times and lost its heart. However Gourock trades have now changed and are bringing the sole back to Gourock. If the long promised re-development takes place Gourock will certainly be a thriving community once again.
