Local Charities join together for Wigan Business Expo 2012
Local Charities, Embrace Wigan and Leigh and the Wigan Rotary Club, joined forces at the Wigan Business Expo held at the DW Stadium on Friday 12th October. Both Embrace and the Rotary Club showed true partnership working by holding a joint stall to promote both charities to the wider business community of Wigan. Embrace Wigan & Leigh is a charity which helps people with disabilities have a voice to be heard, a full life to live and a community which values them.
Wigan Rotary Club is a community based service club dedicated to helping many worthy causes and charities in Wigan since 1924.
To help promote the charities and to raise funds on the day, a raffle was drawn by Wigan Warriors Legend, Phil Clarke, for the following fantastic prizes: 2 x Wigan Warriors Season Tickets, 2 x Wigan Athletic Game Day Tickets, 2 x Tickets for Tea for Two at the Lowry Hotel and 2 x Tickets for The Lion King. The day was a fantastic experience for both charities who used the event to network with over 1000 people attending.
