We support young people taking part in the RYLA scheme .....
The Rotary Youth Leadship Awards (RYLA) "is designed to give participants the opportunity of experiencing the challenge of leadership at first hand using a series of exercises, formal debrief sessions, discussion groups and one to one mentoring.
Held at Hebden Hey (click for details), near Hardcastle Crags, Hebden Bridge, the course is much more entertaining than the description above and involves quite of lot of "falling in the water".
We advertise and select people from local schools, and they come back to tell us how much fun it was. These are photos supplied by a recent graduate of the scheme :
