Rotary's Elderly Friends visit Glebe Garden Centre at Countesthorpe, with volunteer drivers


There were saloons, coupes and 4x4s. Not a single sleigh arrived in the car park.

But as the passengers disembarked from the vehicles driven by Oadby Rotarians it was clear that the Christmas spirit had arrived at Glebe Garden Centre on Thursday, December 6.

An innovation introduced this year by Richard Baker was that the event was held after our Rotary lunch so that wives could attend the lunch and then take part in the visit to the garden centre. Another improvement was that there was much more room set aside for the party to enjoy a super tea costing only
