CHRISTMAS PARTY AND INDUCTION

Mon, Dec 10th 2012 at 12:00 am - 2:00 am

Our once a year party at the Lyndhurst Park Hotel.

Our Christmas Party on 10 December at The Lyndhurst Park Hotel went with a swing with 75 members and guests enjoying themselves. We had a table magician, Steve Charrett,  intriguing and bemusing us and the final entertainment was by the ever popular Tuesday Girls from Brockenhurst who sang to us with infectous enthusiasm and who found us more than willing to join in with little encouragement. We had individual choices from a menu and the most popular  proved to be the turkey and Christmas pudding. Tim had organized a table quiz and at the end of the evening Shirley Rutland's table were clear winners and the prize of a large tin of chocolates was donated to the Women's Refuge. The final bonus was a giant raffle organised by Ken. This raised enough to provide refreshments for the Tuesday Girls, Steve Charratt the magician and the prizes.

President Robin presided over the evening and had the pleasure of introduced a new member, John Brown, formerly of Ambleside Rotary, who Robin inducted into the club with his own brand of idiosyncratic charm.
