2014 Classical Music Concert

A varied evening of popular classical music from the Steinberg Duo together with talented local young musicians

The Steinberg Duo

The Rotary Club of Basingstoke enjoyed a Classical Music Concert held in conjunction with Lord Wandsworth College, Long Sutton, Nr Odiham, Hampshire RG29 1TB.

The evening will be a wonderful presentation by both professional and amateur artists with proceeds to be donated to Basingstoke Mencap, the Lord Wandsworth College Foundation and other local charities supported by Rotary.

The programme for the evening included the following:

Mendelssohn Violin Sonata in F (arr Menuhin)

Elgar Chanson de Matin & Salut d'amour

Bartok Romanian Folk dances

Elgar Sonata

Featuring 'The Steinberg Duo' along with local musicians from the Rotary Youth Music Competitions.

 


 

The Professional contribution was supplied by the popular STEINBERG DUO, the youthful and exuberant Louisa Stonehill on Violin and Nicholas Burns on Piano. The Duo enjoys a fine reputation both nationally and internationally for their classical renditions and particularly because of Nicholas
