Food Parcels

Food Parcels to the elderly and those in need in the Wycombe District: a joint effort by our Rotary Club, High Wycombe Round Table and the local Police.

Annual Food Parcels Distribution to the Needy

For many years the High Wycombe Lions Club have distrbuted Food Parcels to the elderly and those in need in the Wycombe District.

In the last three years the scheme has been expanded by working together with High Wycombe Rotary Club, High Wycombe Round Table and the local Police.

On Sunday 9th December the joint team parcelled up in excess of 350 food parcels in 90 minutes.

In addition we were pleased to welcome a helping hand from our local MP Steve Baker

and Mayor Shafique of High Wycombe (and his son).

(And Santa of course)

The Lions deliver over 200 parcels to those in need funded by the donations they collect over the Christmas period with their Santa Sleigh and at local Supermarkets. The local Police deliver the other 150, the cost of which, is funded jointly by the three service clubs. In addition each of these parcels contains a Christmas Card designed by children from Disraeli and Juniper Hill schools.

Police advice and information about remaining safe is also inserted into each parcel.
